How To Remove Tattoos Without Pain

Laser Treatment
The safest and most effective method for removing tattoos is laser treatment. A topical or local anesthesia is applied to the skin before the treatment, to reduce the discomfort. Thereafter, very short flashes of laser light are passed into the skin, to break up the tattoo ink in the skin. On completion of the procedure, a lotion is applied to soothe the skin and remove any residual discomfort. This method does not cause any distress. Even if there is any, it is minimal.

Intense Pulsed Light
This therapy is quite similar to laser treatment, the only difference being the use of a higher intensity of light to break down the tattoo pigmentation, in case of former. Herein, a topical gel is applied on the skin, after which a wand is used for emitting pulses of light onto the treatment area. The patient can experience some discomfort with this method, though it is slight.

Dermabrasion
In this tattoo removal method, a solution is sprayed on the area of the tattooed skin, to freeze it. The skin is then peeled with a rotary abrasive instrument, to remove the tattoo. Thereafter, a protective dressing is applied to the area. Though dermabrasion is not a painful process, it is likely to leave a scar on the previously tattooed area.

Fade-away Creams
A fade-cream breaks down the tattoo ink and with the skin’s natural curative ability; the area heals quickly. The regeneration of healthy, clean skin cells helps remove the tattoo. These creams are effective, less painful and leave no scars, but are more expensive than other tattoo removal methods. Since these creams are acid-based, they can cause skin reactions at times.
