One of the most elegant and suave hairstyles that can be donned by women with long hair is a bun. It not only gives them a graceful and polished look, but also keeps the hair tidily in place. On top of that, the hairstyle is fairly simple to make and hardly consumes more than a few minutes. Another advantage of making a hair bun is that you don’t need to wash your hair for the same. Rather, the more oily your hair, the better will the bun stick. For all those who are looking for the answer to how to make a hair bun or how to put hair in a bun, the information provided below will work the best.
How to Tie Hair in a Bun
Items Needed
- Hair Gel
- Comb or Brush
- Thin Hair Band (of the same color as hair)
- Bobby Pins
Instructions
- First of all, take a comb or brush to take out all the tangles from your hair and ensure that it is smooth.
- Next, you need to apply some gel to your hair, in order to keep it slicked back and straight.
- Using a very thin hair band, of the same color as your hair, pull you hair into a tight ponytail.
- Make sure that that ponytail is medium high i.e. around 2½ inches from the nape of your neck.
- Grabbing the end of your ponytail, wrap it around the hair band, in a clockwise motion.
- Keep on wrapping the ponytail, till the length of your hair gets fully wrapped around the hair band, resulting in the formation of a bun.
- Take the bobby pins and push them at an angle of 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock, towards the center of the bun.
- Your hair bun is ready to be worn outside!
