Tips For Making Jello Shots
  • Pouring alcohol in hot jello shots would make the shot non-alcoholic. Besides, there is always risk involved in heating alcohol so make sure that the jello cools down properly before you add alcohol to it.
  • Jello shots take more time than regular jello to cool down because of the alcohol content in them.
  • Never overdo the alcohol content. Make sure that you add half as much alcohol as the water or else the fun of the shooter would be diluted and the shooter would become intolerably distasteful.
  • Plastic jello cups are the easiest way to store, refrigerate and serve these shots. Make sure you serve them either in a punch bowl or on ice.
  • A good way of making delicious jello shots is to use flavored vodkas corresponding to the gelatin flavor, such as citrus/citron vodka with lemon jello.
