Home Remedies For Cracked Heels
 
Pumice Stone
Soak your feet in a bucket containing warm water, for ten minutes. Thereafter, take your feet out of the bucket and scrub your heels with a pumice stone. This will remove the dead cells of your cracked heels, thereby making the skin of your feet soft and healthy. Dry your feet with a soft towel. After the heels have dried properly, apply moisturizer or foot cream on them. Wear cotton socks to protect the treated heels. Do this twice a week, before going to bed.
 
Vegetable Oil
Hydrogenated vegetable oil can treat cracked heels effectively. Wash your feet thoroughly with warm water. Make sure the temperature of water is slightly above lukewarm. After drying your feel, apply a thick coat of hydrogenated vegetable oil on the cracked area. Leave this application overnight, so that the oil works on the dead cells of the cracked heels. Do this at least thrice a week. You will definitely get positive result within a few days.
 
Banana Pulp
Take out the pulp of two ripe bananas. Blend the pulp well, in a mixer, to form a thick paste. Wash your foot with warm water. Dry the heels properly. Apply a thin layer of banana paste on the cracked areas of your heels. Leave it for 10 minutes, so that it penetrates into the cracked heels. Rinse the area with lukewarm water thoroughly. For best results, repeat the process once a week.
 
Healing Mixture
Make a healing mixture by mixing one teaspoon petroleum jelly with the juice of a lemon. Thereafter, make a soapy solution by mixing four parts of water with a little amount of liquid soap or shampoo. Place your feet in the soapy solution for about 15 minutes. Rinse your feet and pat dry them. Apply the healing mixture onto the cracked heels. Do this daily and look for the positive change!
 
Wax and Oil Mixture
Melt one teaspoon of refined paraffin wax. Mix the molten wax with the same amount of mustard oil. Apply the mixture, directly, on the dried and cracked heels. Doing this daily, for about 15 days at a stretch, will help cure the cracked heels.
