Changing Oil Of Your Car 
  • Go to the nearest automobile station and buy good oil. Buy the recommended oil for your car and also check the correct quantity.
  • You can choose from a variety of engine oils available in the market. However, what is to be kept in mind is not to mix two oils.
  • Pick up a good oil filter for the vehicle. A good filter is one which removes the carbon from the engine oil.
  • Pick up a decent oil filter wrench from a hardware store, to get the filter off the engine.
  • Buy a suitable oil container pan, to put under the car to receive the oil.
  • Raise the front of the car using the car jack to a height, where it gives you access to the underside of the engine, enabling you to move the wrench.
  • Find the oil fill cap on the engine and remove it.
  • Find the oil drain pan and place it directly under the drain plug on the engine.
  • With the help of a socket wrench or a combination wrench of the right size, remove the oil drain plug on the engine.
  • Let the oil drain completely into a container from the engine.
  • Put the drain plug back on the engine oil pan.
  • Next move the drain pan under the oil filter. Remove the oil filter with the filter wrench.
  • Open the new filter in its box, which will have a rubber gasket on the base. Take some engine oil and coat the rubber gasket thoroughly. This is done to ensure that the filter comes out off the engine the next time.
  • Screw the new filter onto the filter pipe and secure it tightly. Remove the jack and drained oil, along with its container. Restore the position of the car on the ground in normal driving status.
  • Now, fill the engine oil on the valve cover.
  • With the engine dipstick, check the oil level. It should be one mark high.
  • Start the engine, but do not accelerate. This will enable your oil pump to pick up the new oil and pressurize the system. Also, you will be able to make out if there are any leakages.
  • After five minutes, shut the engine off. Once again check the oil level and it should read full.
