Instructions to Crochet

Making A Single Crochet

Materials Required

Worsted-Weight Yarn
Size-G Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle, with big eye
Small Scissors

Instructions

In this kind of crochet, threads are tightly held.
Hold the crochet hook in the right hand and make a slipknot on the hook.
Bring the yarn over the hook, from back to front, and grab it by the hook.
Pull the hooked yarn through the slip knot, on to the hook. This will make one chain stitch.
Repeat the above two steps in a sequence, around 28 times. This will give you 29 chain stitches, with one loop on the hook.
Skip the first chain stitch and insert hook into the center of the next chain stitch.
Pull the yarn through the chain stitch, on to the hook. There will be now 2 loops on the hook.
Bring the yarn over the hook, from back to front and pull it through both the loops on the hook. Now, only one loop will remain on the hook,
This completes one crochet stitch. Repeat the process in each crochet across, to make things as you desire.

Making a Double Crochet

Materials Required

Worsted- Weight Yarn
Size-G Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle, with big eye
Small Scissors

Instructions

In this kind of crochet, the threads are loosely held, as the thread is twice the size of the single crochet.
Make a foundation chain and skip first three chain stitches.
Bring the yarn over the hook, inserting hook from front to back, in the center of the fourth chain from the hook.
Yarn over and bring the yarn through the chain. At first, take 3 loops stay on hook and then, 2 loops. One double crochet is completed.
Repeat the process and insert hook in the centre of next chain and repeat by pulling yarn through the stitch over.
Repeat from corner to corner, to end of foundation chain.
Skip the double crochet you have just made below the turning chain.
Repeat the process in double crochet across and in the top of the turning chain at the end of the row.
