Guacamole Dip Recipes

Traditional Guacamole Recipe


Ingredients
 
  • Avocados
  • ¼ tsp salt per Avocado (approximately)
  • 2 tbsp Salsa per Avocado
  • ¾ tsp Garlic Powder per Avocado (approximately)
  • ½ tsp Lemon or Lime Juice per Avocado (approximately)
  • 1/8 tsp or a pinch Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ cup Grape Tomatoes (chopped)
  • Chopped Cilantro (Optional)
  • Chopped Onions (Optional) 
Method
  • Slice the avocados into half, and gently squeeze out the pit till it pops out of the flesh.
  • Scoop the fruit into a bowl.
  • Sprinkle some salt over the fruit in the bowl, and add some juice, salsa, and garlic powder.
  • Mash it together with a fork. Leave a few chunks if you wish to relish pieces of avocado. Toss the grape tomatoes into the mix.
  • Dribble extra juice or sprinkle more salt for extra taste, if you please. If it's not spicy enough, add a little salsa. Experiment with more garlic until you find yourself savouring the world’s best guacamole.
  • Stir in the cilantro and onion at the end if you want to.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours, and serve immediately.
 
Spicy Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients
 
  • 4 roasted Anaheim Pepper, or Poblano Chilies
  • 4 medium and ripe Avocados
  • ½ White Onion (peeled and chopped fine)
  • 1 Serrano Chilli
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • ½ cup Cilantro (fresh and finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Salt 
Method
  • Roast the green chillies and remove their skin.
  • Chop these roasted chillies into fine pieces.
  • Clean and pit the avocado, and once you’re done, gently scoop out its flesh and put it into a large mixing bowl.
  • To this add all the other ingredients including the chillies and blend well.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or any other snack. 
Szechwan Guacamole

Ingredients
 
  • 1 large and ripe Avocado
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp Ginger (minced)
  • ¼ tsp Five Spice Powder
  • ½ tsp Sichuan Hot Bean Sauce or Chili paste
  • ½ tsp Sesame Oil
  • ½ tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp toasted Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Red Bell Pepper or Tomato (diced)
  • 2 tbsp Red Onion (finely chopped)
 
Method
  • Take the ripe, peeled and pitted avocado, remove the pulp, and place in a bowl with garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, hot bean sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and cilantro.
  • Mash it up with a masher, and mix it well with a blender.
  • Add the salt, tomato and red onions, and mix well.
  • Chill in the refrigerator and serve with chips, preferably shrimp chips.
