Hair Spa

Long, shiny and healthy hair is admired by every woman. But not all are lucky enough to have those natural looking beautiful and lustrous locks. Though all of us put in a lot of effort to care for our skin and clothes, we often forget to nourish and maintain our hair. Remember, giving yourself a new look with a new hairstyle every now and then, does not necessarily maintain the luster, shine and smoothness of hair. Result? We are left with dull, damaged and frizzy hair leading to severe problems when ignored. To avoid such embarrassing scenarios, it is best to treat our hair at the earliest. The best and cheapest option, a hair spa treatment nourishes and moisturizes the hair, giving them life and health. Further, it is useful for treating an assortment of hair problems, such as hair fall, hair breakage, thinning, dullness, dandruff, split ends, itchy scalp, and so on. However, not all are able to afford the cost of a hair spa treatment at a hair salon. Treat yourself with a hair spa at home and regain the lost sheen, bounce, and silkiness of your hair. Find out how to get a hair spa done at home by following the procedure herein.

Hair Spa Treatment At Home

Oil Your Hair
To start off with a hair spa at home, begin with oiling your hair. Apply olive oil, almond oil or coconut oil to your hair and give a refreshing gentle massage. For a more effective massage, boil a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds or 15-20 henna leaves with the oil and proceed as usual. While fenugreek seeds will cure dandruff, henna leaves help in preserving the natural color of your hair. Dip a cotton ball in the oil and apply to your entire hair scalp. Gently massage and leave it on for the next 20 minutes or so. Thereafter, rinse your hair with a mild shampoo. Treating your hair with an oil massage strengthens the roots, regains shiny hair, and reduces hair breakage and hair fall.

Shampoo Your Hair
Follow up the oil massage with shampooing your hair. Pick up a good cleansing shampoo free from any chemical ingredients. For best results and complete herbal spa treatment, use an herbal shampoo. Apply the shampoo and massage it on the entire scalp working down to the tips. Rinse off the shampoo thoroughly with cold water. If required, repeat again. Wrap your hair in a dry towel to remove all excess water possible. Untangle your hair using your fingers and thereafter, comb your hair with a large toothed comb.

Condition Your Hair
The next step after shampooing is conditioning your hair. You can find many commercial conditioners available in the market. If you have colored hair, pick up a conditioner that contains proteins. Similarly, to treat frizzy, wavy or curly hair, use a moisturizing conditioner. However, using commercial conditioners are always dicey and do not guarantee 100% results. Thus, prepare a conditioner at home using ingredients available in your kitchen. Choose a conditioner from the following options depending upon your hair type and apply it on your scalp and hair. Wrap your scalp and hair with a dry towel and leave it on for an hour. Henceforth, rinse your hair thoroughly with water. You will now have soft, shiny, silky, lustrous and beautiful looking hair. Enjoy!
