Kimberly Noel Kardashian

Kim Kardashian was born as Kimberly Noel Kardashian on 21^st October 1980, in Los Angeles, California. She is the wealthy daughter of Robert Kardashian, a high-powered defense attorney who was also OJ Simpson’s lawyer. Her mother’s name is Kris Kardashian and she also has a stepfather, Bruce Jenner, a former Olympic Games gold medalist and the father of Brody Jenner. She has nine brothers and sisters, including three full siblings, two half-sisters, three step-brothers, and one step-sister.

 

Kim Kardasian spent her childhood in Beverly Hills and went to an exclusive all-girls Catholic high school in the City of Angels. On her 16^th birthday, she received a car from her parents, as a gift. Kim’s parents cut her off from the family at the age of eighteen only. She went to work at the music marketing firm of her father, known as Movie Tunes. With time, the entrepreneurial instincts instilled in her started showing and she became a wardrobe stylist for television programs, magazine photo layouts and infomercials.

 

On the way, Kimberly Kardashian befriended numerous socialites, including Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie. However, it was her friendship with the hotel heiress Paris Hilton that gained her the most media attention, especially in the period of mid- to late 2000s. Kim’s friends later became some of her top clients when she founded ‘Dash’, a chic and high end Calabasas fashion boutique, after selling some of her top designer duds on e-bay. Her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe, were the co-founders of the boutique.

 

Kimberly Kardashian got married to Damon Thomas, a music producer, in the year 2000 and they got divorced four years later, in 2004. Post marriage, she indulged in affairs with a number of high-profile celebrities, like Diddy, Reggie Bush and Nick Lachey, and remained in the headlines. However, it was her sex tape scandal, which surfaced in early 2007, that made her become one of the most talked-about socialites. The tape had Kardashian and Ray J, her boyfriend and Brandy Norwood’s brother.

 

Media claimed that she went public with the tape, with the aim of making a profit from its sale. However, though she admitted the existence of the tape, she denied arranging its release for profit. Even after making efforts for restraining the tape, Kim could not stop its distribution over the internet. Kim Kardashian featured on the cover February/March 2007 issue of ‘Complex Magazine’ and even adorned the cover of December 2007 issue of Hugh Hefner's ‘Playboy Magazine’.

 

On Television
Kim has made an appearance in ‘The Simple Life’ and has also done a stint, as one of the co-stars, on the ‘Beyond the Break’ series of N network. She runs her own production shingle, Kimsaprincess Productions, LLC. Kim is also a part of the TV reality show ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’, which stars her, along with her sisters, stepsisters, mom and stepfather. Last, but not the least, Kimberly is hosting her own reality series on E! Network and has bagged a gig with Bongo jeans, as the spokeswoman for their new line of jeans.
