Layer up Imaginatively!
Do not underdress during winters because your attempt to look ‘cool’ may end up making you look ‘cold’. Instead layer up imaginatively. Begin with thermals and then go on to wear long fitted dark / bright colored knitted tops under short denim / leather jackets. Complete the look by teaming it up with a woolen skirt or a pair of denims as per your desire.

Denim Jeans – An All-time Favorite
Denims are an all time favorite of both men and women the year round. Go for the skinny fit, low slung ones if you have the figure to flaunt. Dark blue, browns, black – go for them in all colors and texture. For outing in the evenings, don denim jeans adorned with embroidery along the pockets, the thigh region and the sides. Levis, Pepe, United Colors of Benetton, and other known brands are popular for their snug fit.

Jackets / Coats – What In?
There are a myriad range of coats and jackets styles available in the market for females. One can go for the hip-length fitted ones in leather, corduroy, denims, woolen and other fabrics or sleek mid-thigh / knee-length ones. Price range of these varies from few hundred rupees to thousands depending upon the brand, location of purchase, purchasing power of the wearer and so on incase you plan to buy a new one.

Accessorize with Mitten / Beanie Cap
Add a zing to your dress up by wearing vibrant or dark hued mittens / gloves. Dark colored ones like black, brown, etc. are safe to wear because with such hues there are less chances of committing a fashion faux pas. If it’s biting cold, then you can also choose to don matching beanie caps that will look stylish as well as proffer warmth to your head and ears.

Style it up with Scarves
Though optional, scarves can be used to provide both formal and casual look to one’s appearance. For instance, you can tie silk scarves stylishly around the neck with your winter suit for a formal look or just warp a bright woolen one around the neck for a chilled out casual outing. You can get scarves in various fabrics, colors and price range.

Shoes

Last, but not the least you complete the dress up with proper shoes / footwear. Boots are very in this season and remain so the coming season as well. You can don these with skirts as well as jeans. Another viable option for fashionable winter footwear is sneakers, which are warm as well as very comfortable.  Even when dressing up for a party, wear sandals that cover at least the front portion of the feet.
