Thanksgiving Craft Ideas For Toddlers
Coloring
What Is Needed
- Crayons
- Construction paper
How To Do It
- Get outlines of turkey printouts for the toddler to color.
- If you want to make it educational as well as fun, draw out the alphabets T H A N K S G I V I N G on construction paper and get your toddler to color it in different colors.
- Once the coloring has been done, staple the alphabets to a thread and tie it up.
A Turkey
What Is Needed
- Googly eyes
- Red, black and orange construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons
- Feathers
How To Do It
- Trace your child’s hand using a crayon or pencil on to a sheet of orange construction paper.
- Cut out the handprint.
- Stick the googly eyes on to the thumb trace, since this will be the turkey’s head.
- Use a small piece of red construction paper for the turkey’s neck.
- Get your toddler to stick the feathers on to each finger, which is supposed to form the tail. They will just love it since toddlers love dipping their fingers into glue.
A Thanksgiving Tree
What Is Needed
- Construction paper (different colors)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons
How To Do It
- Draw an outline of a tree on a sheet of brown construction paper and cut it out.
- This should be just the trunk and branches of the tree and there should be no leaves drawn. Glue this onto a sheet of background paper.
- Take different colored sheets of construction paper and draw out leaves. Cut these leaves out.
- Glue the leave onto the tips of the tree’s branches.
- Get the toddler to tell you what he/ she is thankful for and write it down on the leaves as it’s mentioned.
- You can also get your toddler to stick pictures of the family and friends on to the leaves.
- Put up the thanksgiving tree on display in the living room where everyone can see it.
