  • Apply a roll on deodorant to the sweat stain. Wash as usual and while giving the final rinse, add ½ cup white vinegar to the water.
  • Mix 1 tbsp cream of tartar, 3 crushed white aspirin and 1 cup warm water. Apply to the stain and work in with a toothbrush. Leave for 20 minutes and strain with lukewarm water.
  • Add 1 tbsp boric acid to water, to form a paste. Work into the stain with a toothbrush and let it sit for 1 hour. Scrub off the paste and wash as usual.

  • Soak the stained area in liquid dish detergent. Let it sit for an hour and wash as usual.
  • Add 1 tsp liquid bleach solution to 10 liters of water. Soak the garment in the solution for around 1 hour and wash as usual.
Tips
  • Rather than cribbing about the stains, it is better to avoid them in the first place. Remember, thicker application of deodorant is not necessary. Instead, they magnify the chances of your clothes getting the stain. Instead, just apply a thin layer of antiperspirant and it will help prevent acids and aluminum salts from getting on your clothes.
  • Before wearing your attire, make sure you let the deodorant dry thoroughly. This would help you save the extra time that you would otherwise have to spend on laundry.
  • Just try rinsing the armpits of your shirts with plain cold water. It is believed that cold water acts as an effective neutralizer to counteract the acids eating away at your shirts, thus making them sweat-stain free.
