Getting Rid Of Blemishes 
  • Sandalwood is known for its skin beneficial properties since ages. Make a paste by mixing some sandalwood powder in water and apply on your face. After it dries, rinse your face with cold water. Sandalwood soothes painful acnes and helps reduce blemishes. Regular application will help you to get a clear skin.
  • Honey also helps in getting rid of blemishes. Heat some honey and apply it all over your face. Take care not to over heat honey. Now, tap you face softly with your fingers.  Wash off the honey with lukewarm water and then rinse your face with cool water. You can also add a small amount of wheat germ to the honey before application, for better results.
  • Apply odorless castor oil or some other Vitamin E oil on your face regularly, in the night.
  • Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, as they are rich in fiber. Also, keep your body detoxified by drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day.
  • Mix a few drops of lemon juice and some sugar. Apply this mixture on the blemish area. Wash it off after 15 to 20 minutes. It has shown good results in many cases.
  • Include ginger and garlic in your food. They are known to have excellent anti-bacterial properties and are natural antibiotics.
  • Ensure that you change your pillow cover everyday. Due to sweat and perspiration, your pillow cover contains bacteria, which cause pimples, acnes and blemishes.
  • Apply lacto calamine lotion on your face every night. It absorbs excess oil from the skin and helps get rid of blemishes.
  • Wash your face once a day with a perfume-free face wash or soap. Right after you wash your face, apply a toner or astringent to tighten your clean skin pores and remove any dirt, grease or dead skin that may be left on the skin. After this, moisturize your skin with a scent-free and oil-free moisturizer.
  • Scrub your face, once a week, with a gentle exfoliating scrub to remove dead skin and other impurities that can clog pores and cause blemishes. Take care not to scrub too hard, as it will damage your skin and cause more blemishes.
  • If nothing is really working on your blemishes, it is advisable that you consult a dermatologist and undertake a proper blemish removal treatment. He might advise some anti-marks creams to you or suggest some other course of treatment.
