Recipes For Handmade Soaps

Vanilla Almond Soap

You Will Need
  • 1/3 cup whole Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Distilled Water
  • 1 tbsp Almond Oil
  • 1/8 tsp Vanilla Fragrance Oil
  • 1 4-oz bar Castile Soap (unscented)
  • A Heavy-Bottomed Pan
  • Soap Molds
Procedure
  • Start off by grinding the almonds to a fine powder. You may need a coffee grinder or a food processor. This is important because coarse powder will destroy the texture of the soap.
  • Cut your soap into shreds and set aside.
  • Heat the water over a low flame in the heavy bottomed pan. Wait until it boils. Make it a point not to raise the flame.
  • Take the pan off the heat and add the almond oil, vanilla fragrance oil, and almond powder. Stir until the ingredients are well mixed.
  • Pour into a soap mold. Set aside for 5-6 hours. Your soap is ready.
