For performing this exercise, you need to stand with your feet firmly planted side by side about 6 inches apart. Now, squat down, putting most of your weight on the heels of your foot. Turning your head to look over your shoulder, kick your left leg out straight behind you, placing the force of your kick through your heel. Now, pull your knee back and return to the starting position. Alternately, use your legs for this back kick, until you have repeated it for about 20 times.  With time, increase your speed and reps.
 
Bridge
Bridge is a classic exercise to tone the muffin top area. Apart from helping getting rid of the dreadful muffin top, it works well for your entire back, buttocks and back of the thighs. For the exercise, you need to first lay down with your back on the floor. Bend your knees in way that your feet lay flat on the floor. Now, slowly lift your hips off the floor, making sure that both your shoulders are firmly planted. Hold this position for about 5 seconds, before returning to the starting position. Repeat the exercise 12 to 15 times.
 
Using Medicine Ball
The first step would be to sit with your legs and feet flat on the floor. In case you are not able to sit upright, use your abdominal muscles to get the support and keep your body stable. Now, hold a 10-lb. medicine ball between your hands. Start moving your hands from one side to the other. Make sure you touch the floor near your waist each time you bring your arms over. Repeat the exercise about 12 times everyday and watch the muffin top swish away.
 
Walking
Did you know that just by engaging in a few minutes of walk regularly, you can get rid of the muffin top totally? Start by walking slowly for about 15 minutes everyday.
