Initially known as B-boying, breakdancing was a part of hip-hop culture of the African Americans on the East Coast of the US. Easy Breakdance Moves
 
Hand Glide
Hand glide is a type of spin which is performed by balancing on a one-hand float position. Start off by placing your hands and knees on the ground as if you were to crawl. Place your elbows on your hip with your back being slight hunched. Gradually, try balancing on your right hand by pushing away with the left. Repeat these spins till you are able to make several circular spins.
 
One-Leg Swipe
Also known as one foot swipe, one-leg swipe is one of the many variations of the swipe move. This is performed by keeping one foot in the air on the inside of the rotation. To start off with, rest your hands and legs on the ground with the chest facing up, giving the look of a crab. Raise your left arm over your head pushing the weight on the right arm. While the right arm touches the ground, lift the left leg bringing it to the same height as the right knee. Your left leg should be straight. Bring your right knee to a right angle making sure that you entire body is straight. Rotate your body and legs touching the floor with the right hand and swinging with the left hand. Place the right foot on the floor and lift the right hand to rotate with the left hand.
 
Turtle
Turtle is a circular form of float, as it is performed by moving one hand forward and the other backwards in a circular motion. To learn this step, sit in a kneeling position with both knees placed firmly on the ground. Balance your elbows between stomach and hips part. Place your hands on the ground by leaning forward not more than a foot apart. Transfer your weight on the elbows. Balance on you arms and legs while lifting yourself in the air. Place your arms in a 90 degree angle and gradually close in the legs towards the buttocks. Hold the position for 10 seconds and try turning around. Eventually, increase your holding time by another 10 seconds.
 
Simple Top Rock
Simple top rock is one of the easiest breakdancing moves. It is visualized as though a person is sliding and running in his place. All it requires is footwork and balance. Stand straight holding your arms backward and with the right foot placed in front of the left foot. Hop forward on your left foot, while pushing your right one back. Swing your right foot halfway forward and push your left foot halfway backwards. Bring back the right foot behind the left one while swinging yourself backward with your arms. Continue swinging with the right foot while moving back with the left foot.
 
Windmill
The windmill move is achieved by touching the ground with the arms while pushing towards the next rotation at the same time. Place your hands and knees on the floor. Beginning with the left leg, throw both the legs in the air transferring the entire weight on the hands. Straighten the legs behind you spreading them wide. Using your right hand, roll towards the left in anti-clockwise direction creating a spinning motion. While rolling on the front, support your weight on right shoulder and left hand. Cross your back by rotating and swinging the legs in the air. Continue rolling on the back, left hand and right arm.
