Vaginal And Groin Areas
The vaginal area is the most commonly affected by yeast infections. The resulting burning and itching can range from being mild to the severe. There is also a white discharge, from the vagina. In males the groin areas experiences burning and itching sensations.
 
Mouth Area
Using antibiotics or dentures make one vulnerable to yeast infections. The mouth yeast infections are known as oral thrush, which causes white spots on the tongue and raw red areas. Mouth corners that accumulate moisture can also be affected by yeast.
 
Skin Folds Or Trapped Areas
Skin folds tend to become moist with sweat and so the infections occur as red rashes that either itch or burn. The yeast infection in this area may look like eczema as similar scaling occurs near these red rashes. Other areas include armpits, behind the knees and under breasts, which can develop yeast infections.
 
Personal Hygiene
Personal hygiene is the most common cause of fungal infection. Too much cleaning is also harmful as the beneficial bacteria that protect and shield the bacteria are eliminated. Wearing tight clothes in summer can also cause infections. Clothing can play a significant role in causing symptoms to occur. In particular, tight clothes tend to keep the body warmer, thereby creating a fungal environment.

Symptoms in men are rare but if there are they appear as:
  • Burning sensation during intercourse.
  • Burning sensation of the penis.
  • Symptoms after intercourse if condoms not used.
