Things Needed 
  • 2 lb Maine Lobsters
  • 1 medium Onion (roughly chopped)
  • 2 stalks Celery (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tsp Peppercorns (cracked)
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 whole branches of fresh Dill
  • Steamer Basket
  • Take the lobsters in a steamer basket.
  • Add water to cover 1 ½ inches of the basket.
  • Add all the other ingredients into it.
  • Place the basket over a stove and bring the water to boil.
  • Cook for 15 minutes.
  • Be sure that there is enough water at the bottom of the container.  
  • Remove the vessel from the stove and your steamed lobster is ready to enjoy!

Things Needed
  • 2 lb pound Lobsters (halved lengthwise)
  • 1½ tsp Garlic (minced)
  • ¾ cup dry White Wine
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • ½ cup Lemon juice
  • 8 Juniper berries (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Thyme (chopped)
  •  5 Thyme sprigs
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 lb assorted Mushrooms (stems trimmed and thinly sliced)
  • Large slices of sourdough Bread (toasted)
  • Steamer Basket
  • Skillet
  • Rub the cut sides of the lobster tails with the olive oil and garlic. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the lobsters.
  • Take a large steamer basket and add wine, lemon juice, juniper berries, bay leaves, and thyme springs.
  • Add water to cover two inches of the steamer basket.
  • Add lobsters in it.
  • Cover the steamer tightly.
  • Steam the lobsters on a high flame until tender.
  • Take oil in a skillet and cook the mushrooms in it until the mushrooms turn brown.
  • Add garlic and thyme and cook for a minute.
  • Pour the remaining wine and cook until it evaporates.

To kill fresh lobsters, boil at least one gallon of water in a large pan and dip the head of the lobster first in the boiling water. Reduce the flame and cook for 5 minutes for a 1.25 pound lobster. Cook for another 2 minutes for an additional pound.
