Organic Wine

Organic wine is believed to be a healthier drink than the regular wine. The question is what exactly organic wine is. In simple terms it is good old wine made from organic fruits, by an organic process and preserved organically. Wine is primarily made from grapes, and fruits like apple, cashew etc. They contain enough sucrose or fructose that is required for fermentation to alcohol. Most of the wines contain sulfite. It is added to the wine to help the wine age better in the bottle, provide the wine with improved color and avoid the wine from oxidizing once the bottle has been opened. The problem with sulfites is that some people are allergic to it and are required to avoid them. A legitimate discussion of organic wines goes far beyond mere sulfites. It starts from the vineyards. On this earth, organic farming ruled the soil for thousands of years, when farmers stained their hands and never thought twice about whether to wear a gas mask or gloves as they tilled on their land. Manure was used as a fertilizer, bugs were used as pesticides, organic was everything and farming was still sustainable and profitable. So why can't it be now.
