Things Required
  • 1/2-inch-wide Elastic
  • Fabric or Cloth Pieces
  • Safety Pins
  • Sewing Needles
  • Threads

Instructions
  • Take a fabric or cloth piece, which measures 4-5 inches wide and 18-20 inches long. You can get this either from a tailor or from your old shirts, scarves, bandanas, etc.
  • Now, fold the fabric into an exact half, lengthwise, keeping the printed side on the inside.
  • Sew along the side seam lengthwise and make sure to leave both the ends open for putting in the elastic.
  • Now, the fabric will resemble a tube. Turn it inside out, so that you have the right side out.
  • Insert 5-7 inches of the ½ inch wide elastic through the fabric tube, by threading it in through one end and holding one end of the elastic at that end.
  • Next, stitch one end of the elastic to the fabric, to make sure that it stays in place.
  • Slide one end of the tube over the other end and make a small hem. Finally, stitch both the ends together with hand.
  • You have your own scrunchie, all ready to be worn!
