How To Get Rid Of Deodorant Stains

Oh did you do that once again.. Wore your favorite tee and applied the deodorant later! Well, it might not be a problem initially, but (trust me) regular spraying of deodorant over the t-shirt might leave hideous stains that would ruin your top completely, not to mention its look as well. Most of you would agree coming across a situation, when you wore your favorite (sexy) t-shirt only to watch the deodorant stains glaring from the underarm area, messing up the whole look. Vinegar is a good answer to those dirty patchy deodorant stains. All that you need to do is take a sponge and dip it in a bowl containing white vinegar. Apply this sponge on the deodorant stains. This would loosen the buildup caused. Now, soak the shirt in a laundry detergent and wash it just like your normal clothes but in the warmest water possible. The dirty stains would surely be gone.

 

For a temporary relief, water can be a good option for hiding the unsightly stains. Apply water on the underarm area and keep it for a while. The wetness is sure to conceal the stain for sometime.

Though surprising, clean socks goes a long way in removing deodorant stains effectively.  All you need to do is just get your hand over a clean cotton sock and rub it over the blot. The socks would absorb the wetness, leaving that part of your tee fresh and clean once again.  In case you do not have a clean sock handy, any other type of fabric, such as a washcloth or dish towel would work the same.

Hydrogen peroxide serves beneficially to get rid of the nasty deodorant stains without much effort. For using it, put a few tsp of hydrogen peroxide on the stained area and rub it for sometime. Allow the chemicals to sit before washing it off with the usual detergent. After laundry, the stains are sure to have faded away.  

 

Did you know that boric acid is an efficient product to remove the hideous deodorant stains? All you need to do is mix a tbsp of the acid in some water to make a fine paste. Apply the paste over the armpit area of your shirt or tee. Allow it to stand for about half an hour before washing it off. The best bet would be to scrub the area using a tough pad.  

Rubbing alcohol is a good way to treat your favorite shirt and get rid of the nasty stains. Since alcohol is extremely effective in getting rid of aluminum stains, the blemishes caused by deodorant would be a cakewalk. You can either use a cleaner that has some amount of alcohol in it as its ingredient or even rub it with a cotton sponge dipped in alcohol. Though it might smell awfully, do not get worked up. The result would sure be worth the pain taken!
