Instructions For Doing Pin Curls
 
The Wet Set 
  • Wash your hair with shampoo and use conditioner as well.
  • Towel-dry the hair and take out all the tangles.
  • Apply setting lotion on your hair and allow you hair to dry a bit.
  • When you hair is more than damp, but not wet anymore, divide it into sections, around one-inch big, using a rat-tail comb.
  • Take one of the sections and twist it tightly.
  • Wrap the twisted hair tightly around your finger.
  • Holding your finger close to your head, slip off the curl, onto you head.
  • Now, pin the curled hair section into place, with bobby pins.
  • Twist, wrap and pin rest of the sections of your hair, in similar way. 
The Dry Set 
  • Wash your hair with shampoo and use conditioner as well.
  • Towel-dry the hair and take out all the tangles.
  • Let your dry completely, naturally or by using blow dryer.
  • Using a rat-tail comb, divide your hair into one-inch big sections.
  • Apply a de-frizzer/ setting lotion to one section of hair.
  • Twist the section of hair, from the ends to the root.
  • Wrap the twisted hair around your finger, placing the latter close to your head.
  • Now, slide the curl off your finger, onto your head.
  • Secure the curl in place, with the help of bobby pins.
  • Twist, wrap and pin rest of the sections of your hair, in similar way. 
Some Tips 
  • Remember, the tighter the twisting of your hair, the tighter will be the resultant curl.
  • If you want a sassy look, finger comb your hair after removing pin curls.
  • For an all over wavy effect, brush your hair after removing pin curls.
  • To make sure that the curls keep in place, wrap a scarf around your head while sleeping.
