Butterfly Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 kg of large shelled shrimps
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tea-spoon sugar
- Salt
- Curry powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon salad oil
- Frying oil
Procedure
- The first step involves shelling the shrimp, but remembers while shelling it, do not remove the tail.
- Take the knife and insert it into the head region of the shrimp; insert only till about 3/4 of the way.
- Now, cut the shrimp, starting from the head region, through the flesh all the way into the shrimp's back and the tail.
- The next step is to use your hands to open the shrimp and put it flat on the table.
- Remove the veins of the shrimp with your hands or the tip of the knife.
- Now, wash the shrimp under cold water thoroughly.
- Mix flour, sugar, salt and curry powder.
- Add egg, water, and salad oil and then mix these well.
- Coat the shrimp with this mixture that you just created.
- Start deep-frying the shrimps in hot oil and keep frying it until it has turned golden brown.
- Now, drain the oil from the shrimp by towering it with paper.
- Your butterfly shrimp is ready to eat.

Fried Butterflied Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp,
- water
- 1 1/2 cups cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
- Oil for deep frying
Procedure
- The first step would be the same as that of the above recipe. It involves shelling the shrimp. Make sure you don’t remove the tail while shelling.
- Now with the help of a knife, insert it into the head region of the shrimp. You just need to insert only till about 3/4 of the way.
- Now, cut the shrimp, starting from the head region, through the flesh all the way into the shrimp's back and the tail.

- Now dip the same shrimp back into the batter. Again, roll the double-coated shrimp over the breadcrumbs.
- Prepare all the shrimps in the same way.
- Keep frying pan over the burner and put oil in it. Wait until the oil becomes hot and then drop shrimp in it one by one.
- Cook them until they are golden brown. Repeat the procedure until all shrimp are fried.
- Remove cooked shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley or other raw vegetables. Enjoy them with your favorite dips. You could also serve them with cocktail or tartar sauces.
