However, rather than buying an expensive and cream-laden chocolate cake for your kids, it would be better idea to make one for them at home. Not only will a homemade cake be reasonable in price, it would also be much more nutritious. If you are worried about making the chocolate frosting on the cake, don't stress yourself. Easy Chocolate Frosting Recipes
Recipe 1
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Confectioners’ Sugar  
  • Take a large bowl and combine butter and cocoa in it. Beat them together, until they become one.
  • Now, add milk, vanilla and salt to the bowl and again, beat the mixture, until it becomes smooth.
  • Gradually, add in the confectioners’ sugar. Continue beating the mixture, until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Your chocolate frosting is ready. If you want a thinner consistency, you can add more milk and beat well.
Recipe 2
  • 2 cups (4 sticks) Unsalted Butter
  • 14 oz Semisweet Chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 ½ tbsp Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 5 cups Confectioner’s Sugar 
  • The first step would be to beat the butter until it turns smooth. Now, add chocolate to it, until it is well combined.
  • Add milk, vanilla extract and Confectioner’s sugar to the mixture prepared in the previous step.
  • Blend it in a blender on a medium speed, until it is well mixed. Make sure not to over mix.
  • The delicious homemade chocolate frosting is ready.
Recipe 3
  • 6 tbsp Butter or Margarine, softened
  • ½ cups Powdered Cocoa
  • 1 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/3 cups of Whole Milk/ Low Fat Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla 
  • With the help of an electric mixer, beat the butter at a medium speed, until it turns into a fluffy texture.
  • Once that is done, add cocoa and sugar. Now, add milk to the mixture.
  • Again beat the content, until the mixture has a spreading consistency
  • The last step would be to add vanilla and blend well.
  • The homemade chocolate frosting is ready. 
Recipe 4
  • ½  cup Butter
  • ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts, preferably pecans 
  • In a saucepan, add butter, cocoa and milk. Heat the saucepan until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Now, pour the mixture in a blender jar and add powdered sugar to it. Blend until it turns smooth.
  • Now, add chopped nuts to it and stir.
  • The nutty-chocolate frosting is ready to be savored upon.
