Choose your Length
Whether you have never ending supermodel legs or not so great legs, you can always look stylish and chic in denim skirts. This is simply because of the fact that denim skirts are available in all lengths - minis, knee length and long. Usually the long skirts have slits either on the sides or at the back. Depending on your comfort level you can opt for long or small slits. The embroidery is usually done along the hems, either at the waist, the lower hems or vertically along the sides.
Embroidery Patterns
There are many popular embroidery patterns or designs that can be seen on denim skirts. Flower motifs, butterflies, curvy vines, mirror embroidery, braids, etc. are the most popular ones. The embroidery may be done with either a machine or by hands. It depends on the thickness of the material on which the embroidery is done. The color of the embroidery thread may be in a metallic sheen or pastel shades.
The Magical Effect
Nothing looks cooler than a denim skirt and if it is embroidered properly, it can transform any ordinary looking skirt into a stylish fashion statement. Long denim skirts usually have embroidery patterns around the waist, or along the slits. For a short skirt, prefer having a patch of embroidery on the right or left pocket. If it has sequins or mirrors, it can look really glamorous and can be the ultimate party attire for you.
Tip: If you have an old denim skirt which is long and you don’t like it, consider getting it cut from a tailor to a short length (say, till the knees) and having an embroidery patch like a flower motif near the left or right front pocket. You not only will have a brand new skirt but will also love your new stylish look in it!
