Simple Meatloaf Recipe
Ingredients
- 1½ pounds Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Dried Bread Crumbs
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Mustard, prepared
- 1/3 cup Ketchup
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- The first step would be to pre heat the oven to about 350 degree F.
- Meanwhile, take a large bowl and mix in it beef, egg, onion, milk and bread crumbs. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan and place the mixture in it.
- Now, in a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard and ketchup. Mix it well and pour over the meatloaf.
- Bake the meatloaf for about an hour, at 350 degree F.
- The yummy and delectable treat is ready to be savored.
Sweet & Sour Meatloaf Recipe
Ingredients
- 1½ pounds Ground Beef
- 1 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Dried Minced Onion
- 1 can Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 2 tsp Mustard, prepared
Instructions
- Firstly, pre-heat the oven to about 350 degree F.
- Now, in a large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, ground black pepper, eggs, onion flakes and 1/2 can of tomato sauce. Blend the mixture well.
- Place the mixture in a 5x9 inch loaf pan; in such a way that mixture is in the center, creating a well around the edges.
- Bake the meatloaf for about 40 minutes in the oven, at 350 degree F.
- In the meantime, take a small saucepan and add to it the remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, white sugar and mustard. Set the pan over medium heat and allow it to boil.
- Once boiled, remove from heat.
- After about 40 minutes, when the meatloaf gets baked, remove the pan from the oven and pour the sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Re-bake the meatloaf for about 20 more minutes, at 350 degrees F. At the time of removing, let it sit for 5 minutes.
- The appetizing sweet and sour meatloaf is ready to be gorged!!
