Homemade Skin Toners
Normal Skin
Rose Water
Mix 100 gram of glycerin with 50 gram of rose water and half a table spoon of alum. Pour in a bottle and store in a fridge. Apply this solution on a piece of cotton and dab your face every night.
Cucumber
Cucumber refreshes the skin. Chop a cucumber into small pieces and then blend it. Now mix it with half a cup of yogurt. Apply the mixture and keep for 10 minutes and then wash. Apply regularly.
Dry Skin
Mint
Take two handfuls of mint leaves and then boil in 100 grams of water. Now take a cup of distilled water and add two drops of the mint extract and half a tablespoon of alum. Use a piece of cotton and apply it on the skin.
Potato
Cut a potato in to slices. Take a slice and rub it all over the skin. Then wash with cold water.
Lemon Juice And Rose Water
Mix together three tablespoon of rose water with two tablespoon of lime juice and one tablespoon of glycerin. Take a little bit of the solution on a piece of cotton and apply on the skin to prevent dry skin.
Oily Skin
Alcohol
Take one tablespoon of alcohol in a cup of distilled water and then add half a tablespoon of alum. Keep in refrigerator for chilling and apply after a hot and sweaty day out.
Honey
Take egg white and beat it until it is thick and then add one tablespoon of honey. Beat it for some time and then add one tablespoon of lemon juice and mix. Apply on the skin and leave for 10 minutes and then wash with warm water.
Additional Tips
- Rub tomato slices on the skin to cleanse the pores.
- Massaging the skin with olive oil tones up the skin and also moisturizes it.
- You can also rub lemon rind onto the skin for effective toning.
- Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with three tablespoon of lemon juice and then apply it on the skin. After sometime wash thoroughly with warm water.
- Mix two tablespoons of vodka with one tablespoon of fennel seedsand two tablespoon of honey and keep it aside for three days. Then strain the mixture and add two tablespoon of water. Apply on the skin using a piece of cotton.
