Mussoorie - Queen of Hills

Also known by names like “Honeymoon Capital of India” and “Queen of Hills”, a trip to Mussoorie will actually make you believe that Paradise exists in reality! Camel's Back Point
This place gets its name from a life size rock that resembles the hump back of a camel. The road that stretches upto this point is around 3 kilometers. From the Camel’s Back point, watching the sun set into the Himalayas is a breath taking experience.
 
Gun Hill
The second highest peak in Mussoorie, the Gun Hill is a 30 minute uphill walk from Mussoorie. You may also take the ropeway to reach there and enjoy the lovely scenery below as you are being transported. Enjoy the enchanting views of the Himalayan peaks and glaciers from here as you dig into lip-smacking cuisine available here at the local eateries. This place is very calm and will refresh you in no time.
 
Jharipani falls and Bhatta Falls
The two famous waterfalls here are Jharipani falls and Bhatta Falls. The former is located at a distance of around 8 kilometers from Mussoorie while the latter is around 7 kilometers from Mussoorie. Tourists come here to amuse themselves by playing in the water in a separately allocated place near the falls.
 
Kempty Falls
The Kempty falls are the most popular waterfalls here. They can be rightly called the ‘star attraction’ of Mussoorie. It is the biggest waterfall here and is located at a lower altitude than Mussoorie. The water falls from a staggering height of 4,500 feet and forcefully hits the rocks on its way, before finally splitting into five streams. It is nestled cozily among a cluster of cliffs, which makes it all the more mystical to look at.
 
Lal Tibba
Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and certainly one of the most stunning places you can ever visit. Take a horse ride to the top of the peak to enjoy its natural beauty and splendor. This place has some old buildings that remind visitors of the British colonial era. A Japanese telescope has been placed here through which you can have breath taking views of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Banderpunch and other Himalayan mountain peaks.
 
Municipal Garden
Designed by the famous geologist, Dr. H. Fackner, the Municipal Garden is a lovely picnic spot. Not only can you relax in the beautiful gardens, you can also enjoy boating in the artificial lake nearby. This garden can be reached from the Waverly Convent Road and is hardly a 2-kilometer walk all the way. This place was formerly known as Botanical Gardens and is a popular tourist attraction of Mussoorie.
 
Mussoorie Lake
The Mussoorie Lake has been recently developed for tourists by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority. It is situated on the Dehradun Mussoorie road, around 6 kilometers from Mussoorie. One can enjoy boating as there are many paddle boats available here for taking a round of the lake. The place is a stoppage for people traveling between Mussoorie and Dehradun. You can enjoy local cuisine and some delicious snacks here at the eateries while relaxing in the serene beauty of the lake.
