Megan Fox is one of the young guns of the Hollywood fraternity. She started her acting career in the year 2001 and since then, has done several movies, T.V. serials and loads of modeling. Megan Fox has a family lineage which extends to French and Irish. She was born on 16th May 1986, as 'Megan Denis Foxx', in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (United States of America). However, she grew up in Rockwood, Tennessee. She is the daughter of Macey Tonachio, former Tourism Director of Roane County, Tennessee. Fox was born in a poor family and has an elder sister. During the later years of her life, she changed her surname from 'Foxx' to 'Fox', removing the second 'X'.
Megan joined dance and drama school at the tender age of 5. Her first assignment was at elite pictures London, in which she was given the opportunity to star in a movie. She was also an active participant in the Kingston Elementary School's chorus and the Kingston Clippers swim team. Fox moved to Florida when she was ten. However the change of place did not deter her and she continued with her training and education, with the hope of making a mark in the world of entertainment.

Then, she was seen in the television series 'Hope & Faith', where she portrayed the character of Sydney Shanowski, from 2004 until 2006. Her first commercial success came with the live-action film 'Transformers', based on the toy and cartoon saga of the same name.
'Transformers' earned her rave reviews and brought immediate recognition of her work. Fox is to star in the upcoming sequels of Transformers as well. In November 2005, she appeared in a five page spread of a popular men's magazine, FHM. She has also appeared in other magazine such as GQ, Maxim and Arena. Whenever Megan Fox has 'feelings about anything', she gets a tattoo. The ace actress flaunts nine tattoos on her body. Amongst the nine tattoos are a poem on her ribcage, a symbol for strength on her neck, her boyfriend Brian's name on her hip and a picture of Marilyn Monroe's face on her right arm. She also has a tattoo on her right shoulder that says "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies," a line from Shakespeare's play King Lear. The sultry actress was engaged to Brian Austin Green.
