Easy Licorice Recipes
 
Red Licorice Recipe
 
Ingredients 
  • 2 packet unflavored Gelatin
  • 3 package Cherry Gelatin
  • 4 cups Cherry Soda
  • 2 tsp Anise Extract 
Method 
  • In a small bowl, take unflavored and cherry gelatin together and add ½ cup of cherry soda to it.
  • Dissolve the gelatin and add anise extract to it.
  • Take a 9x13 inch pan and pour the mixture into it.
  • Refrigerate the mixture until done and then cut it into desired shapes before eating. 
Black Licorice Recipe
 
Ingredients 
  • 1 cup unsalted Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 can sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Anise extract
  • Black paste food color 
Method
 
  • Take a 9''x9'' inch baking dish and cover it with buttered foil.
  • In a pan, add one cup of butter and melt it over medium heat, taking care not to overheat it.
  • Add milk, sugar, corn syrup and salt to the melted butter and bring the mixture to boil, stirring continuously in the meantime to save the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Reduce the flame and cook the mixture for some more time till done.
  • Remove the mixture from heat and add some black food color and anise to it.
  • Transfer the liquid to the baking dish and allow it to cool completely.
  • Remove the buttered foil and cut the licorice into desired shapes. 
Licorice Wands
 
Ingredients 
  • 6 ounces Almond Bark (chopped)
  • 24 Licorice twists
  • Candy Sprinkles
  • Candy Decorations 
Method
  • Take the candy sprinkles in a measuring cup and microwave it on high for about a minute.
  • Stir the liquid after every fifteen seconds to save it from burning or sticking to the bottom of the cup.
  • Remove the cup from the oven and douse licorice twists into the candy syrup.
  • Sprinkle the coated licorice wands with candy decorations and allow it to set before eating. 
Licorice Tea
 
Ingredients 
  • 6 cups Water
  • 2 ½ tsp dried Licorice Root
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • ½ cup dried Peppermint
  • ½ cup Honey 
Method 
  • In a large pot take some water and bring it to boil over high flame.
  • Reduce the flame and add licorice roots and cinnamon to the simmering water.
  • Cover the pot partially with a lid and allow it to simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from heat and add peppermint to it.
  • Now cover the pot once again with a lid and allow it to steep for a few more minutes.
  • Strain the infusion and add honey to it. Stir well.
  • Allow the decoction to cool completely and then refrigerate it for half an hour.
  • Serve chilled.
