Homemade Skin Peel Recipes
Lemon & Orange Peel
Ingredients
- 1 packet Unflavored Gelatin
- 1 Lemon (juice)
- 1 Orange (juice)
- 1 Egg Yolk
Instructions
- Put the gelatin, lemon juice and orange juice in a bowl. Mix well and heat it, until the gelatin gets dissolved completely.
- Remove from heat and let it cool down, until almost set. Now, beat in the egg yolk and your peel is ready.
- Apply a thin layer of the peel on your face, let it set for 20 to 25 minutes (or until dry) and then rinse off with warm water.
Fruit Juice Peel
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Plain Gelatin
- ½ cup Fruit/ Vegetable Juice (apricot or carrot for normal to dry skin, cranberry for all skin types, tomato or lemon and grapefruit for oily skin)
Instructions
- Put both the gelatin and the fruit juice in a bowl and then place it in a microwave.
- After the gelatin melts, take it out of the microwave and keep inside the fridge, till the time it thickens, but is not completely set.
- Apply a thin layer of the peel on your face, let it set for 15 to 20 minutes (or until dry) and then rinse off with warm water.
Papaya & Pineapple Peel
Ingredients
- 1½ Papaya
- 1 cup Sliced Pineapple
- 1 tbsp Honey
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together papaya, pineapple, and honey. Put the mixture in a blender and make a fine paste.
- Apply a thin layer of the peel on your face, let it set for 15 to 20 minutes (or until dry) and then rinse off with cold water.
- Before applying the peel, you can warm your skin with a gentle and clean cloth, to enlarge the pores and increase its efficiency.
Cucumber & Tea Peel
Ingredients
- 1 small Cucumber, peeled and seeded
- 1 ounce Aloe Vera Gel
- 2 ounces Green Tea
- 2 ounces Chamomile Tea
- 1 tbsp Gelatin
Instructions
- Work the cucumber in a blender, to make a fine puree. Then, strain the puree through a sieve. Set it aside.
- Mix together green tea and chamomile tea and heat them well. Now, add plain gelatin and keep on heating it, till the time the jelly melts.
- Now, pour the tea-gelatin mix in a bowl and add the cucumber juice and aloe vera.
- Set the peel aside for somewhere around 25 minutes, so that it thickens, but is not completely set.
- Apply a thin layer of the peel on your face, let it set for 15 to 20 minutes (or until dry) and then rinse off with warm water.
