Ingredients
- 1 large Ripe Pineapple
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Lemon or Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
- First of all, you have to trim the pineapple, peel it and then core it. Now, cut it into quarters, from top to bottom.
- Now, you have to take out the core from each quarter and then slice it into four pieces (two pieces lengthwise and two crosswise).
- By this time, you will have 12 wedges of pineapple with you, each of them about 3-inch by 1-inch.
- Get a small bowl and put honey, lemon or lime juice, and black pepper in it. Mix well, making the glaze.
- Take each slice of pineapple and brush the glaze onto it, making sure to coat it completely.
- Preheat barbecue grill and oil the grill rack. You can also spray the grill rack with non-stick cooking spray, as an alternative.
- Place pineapple wedges on the grill and cook both the sides, for approximately 4 minutes each, while making sure to turn them regularly.
- As soon as the pineapple becomes fragrant and starts to dry out on the surface, stop the cooking.
- Finally, remove the pineapple from the grill and brush with the glaze one more time. Serve immediately!
