Cut around the back pocket of your old jeans pant with the help of scissors, keeping the seams intact. Once you have cut across the pockets, move your scissors across a square inch of the fabric from the thigh area and the side seams around the leg. This will provide you with the strap for the jeans purse. You can make a fashion flap from the piece of fabric you cut from the thigh area. This piece will have to be sewed to the top edge of the pocket.
