You Need:
  • Concealer
  • Heating Pad
  • Ice Packs
  • Paper Towels
  • Spoon
  • Toothbrush
Instructions
  • Try to apply something cold as quickly as possible. Wrap ice packs in paper towels and apply it on the affected area. The cold will prevent the hickey from spreading and swelling and will help constrict the blood vessels. Apply pressure for 15 minutes and then let it soothe for 15 minutes. Repeat again.
  • In case the hickey does not vanish in 48 hours and you experience pain and swelling, then try to apply heat. Get a heating pad and compress it against the affected area to decrease pain and swelling. This will dilate the blood vessels and increase blood circulation, which will absorb the dead tissues faster. Wet heat is better than dry heat, so get a towel, dip a corner in hot water, wring it and apply.
  • The best way and quick-fix solution is to apply make-up. Take a concealer, preferably one that has a greenish tint and apply it on the hickey. Merge it with your skin color and make sure it is not visible.
  • Take a toothbrush and lightly brush it in one direction for about 10-15 minutes. This will help the blood to circulate there again and absorb the redness. Then apply a cold press with ice packs. It helps a lot in reducing a big hickey to a tiny spot.
  • Get a spoon and keep it in the freezer. After 20 minutes, take it out and press it on the hickey. It does the same thing as an ice pack and helps to reduce swelling and constricts the blood. You may have to re-freeze the spoon after a few minutes as a warm spoon is practically useless.
