How To Make Playdough

Playdough Jello Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cream Of Tartar
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup warm Water
  • 3 oz Jello
Method
  • In a bowl mix all the ingredients until even. In medium heat, cook the mixture until it thickens.
  • Then, knead the hot mixture until it gets cool.

Basic Play Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold Water
  • 1 cup Salt
  • 2 tsp Vegetable Oil
  • Food Coloring
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
Method
  • Take the water, salt, oil and some food coloring in a bowl and mix. Slowly add flour and cornstarch and continue mixing till the dough reaches the consistency of bread dough.
  • You can use the play dough immediately or store it covered.

Peanut Butter Playdough

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Peanut Butter
  • 6 tbsp Honey
  • Nonfat Dry Milk
  • Cocoa or Carob (for chocolate flavor)
  • Edible Treats (for decoration)
Method
  • Mix the peanut butter, dry milk and honey together in a bowl. Make sure that you add enough dry milk so that the dough gets an even consistency.
  • Add the cocoa or carob. Decorate with edible treats.

Rubbery Playdough

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
Method
  • Mix all the ingredients until smooth. Next, heat this mixture over medium heat until it thickens.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a plate and leave it until it cools.

Coffee Playdough

Ingredients 

  • 4 cups unsifted All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Salt
  • 1/4 cup instant Coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups warm Water
Method
  • Take the flour and salt in a bowl and mix. Mix the coffee in warm water.
  • Make a well in the flour and add one cup of the coffee water. Mix the flour until the dough becomes even.
  • Ensure that the dough is not dry or sticky. The dough should be smooth.

Alum Playdough

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Alum
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Food Coloring (few drops)
Method
  • In a pan, mix the alum, flour and salt. Next, add water, oil and food coloring. Mix thoroughly and knead the mixture until smooth.

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 2/3 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Water
