To make a soup tastier, special emphasis is required on the preparation of its base. The base is nothing, but the stock to prepare the soup. Non vegetarians love to indulge in chicken feet, while vegetarians are happy when there are several vegetables put in. Soup can be prepared in the saucepan as well as in a microwave. Preparing Soup Base
 
Ingredients
  • 1 pound Chicken Feet
  • 1 Onion (sliced)    
  • 2 Potatoes (peeled and sliced)    
  • 3 Carrot (peeled and sliced)    
  • 2 tbsp Celery (chopped)    
  • ¼ cup Red Dates (optional)
  • Water
Method
  • Clean the chicken nicely and wash it. Take a crock pot and put the cleaned chicken in it.  
  • Now add onions, potatoes, carrots and celery to the pot.   
  • To add a sweet taste to the soup, de-seed the dates and add them to the pot as well.   
  • Now put water to the pot and set it to boil for about 1 ½ hours.
  • Then, put the soup on lower flame and set the soup base to boil for another 4-5 hours. It will extract the entire flavor of the ingredients thoroughly.   
  • Now filter it using colander and use the liquid as the soup base.
  • Vegetarians can skip the chicken and increase the quantity of potato. You can also add other vegetables as per your choice.
In A Crock Pot
 
Ingredients
  • 1 Ham Bone with Ham   
  • 2 cups Mixed Beans   
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)    
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  •  1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Water
Method
  • Take beans and ham bone. Wash them nicely and put them in a slow cooker.
  • Now add all other ingredients into it and let them cook on high heat for almost 2 hours.  
  • Then turn the heat at low and let the soup simmer and cook it for another 4-5 hours.  
  • Remove the bones and add some more water. To make the soup thick, mash the beans.
  • Before serving the sup remove the bay leaf.
In Microwave
 
Ingredients
  • 5 Onions (sliced)
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 10 oz Chicken Broth
  • 10 oz Beef Broth
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese
  • Toasted French Bread
Method
  • Take a safe casserole and put onion and butter into it. Cover the casserole and set the microwave on high for about 8 minutes. Onions must become translucent.  
  • Now add chicken broth and beef broth to the casserole containing onions.
  • Add the desired amount of water to it, according to the amount of other ingredients.   
  • Cover it and microwave for 5 minutes.  
  • Serve the soup with bread and cheese.
