Meatballs, as the name suggests, are balls made out of minced meat and other common ingredients like onions, bread crumbs and spices. The minced meat could be of chicken, beef, pork, veal, lamb, etc. Different cuisines around the world prepare meatballs in different ways. How To Make Meatballs At Home
 
Homemade Meatballs and Sauce
 
Ingredients 
  • 1 lb Beef (ground)
  • ¼ lb Veal (ground)
  • ¼ lb Pork (ground)
  • 5 Pork Chops
  • 1 cup Romano Cheese (grated)
  • 48 oz Tomato Paste
  • 12 cups Water
  • 4 Garlic (chopped)
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Basil Leaves (dried)
  • 2 tbsp Parsley (dried)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 pack Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1¼ cups Bread Crumbs (dried)
  • Olive Oil (as required)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
  • Combine tomato paste, 2 garlic cloves, bay leaves, water, basil and salt in a large pot. Stir well.
  • Boil the mixture for few minutes and lower it to simmer.
  • Place a skillet on fire and heat some olive oil. Add the pork chops and brown for 5 minutes.
  • Once done, add the pork chops into the tomato paste mixture.
  • Fry onions and mushrooms in the same skillet.
  • When the onions turn translucent, add them to the pot. Stir well.
  • Simmer the mixture for 7 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Preheat oven at 350 °F.  
  • Grease a baking pan with butter.
  • Take a large mixing bowl and mix together beef, pork, veal, eggs, Romano cheese, salt, pepper, soy sauce, bread crumbs, garlic cloves and parsley.
  • Combine the ingredients well and form small, round balls.
  • Place the meatballs on the greased pan.
  • Bake the meatballs for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Add the meatballs to the mushroom mixture and allow them to sit for about 2 hours.
  • Serve hot.
Cranberry Appetizer Homemade Meatballs
 
Ingredients 
  • 2 lbs Beef (ground)
  • ¼ cup fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup Ketchup
  • ¼ cup Onions (minced)
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • Whole Cranberry Sauce
  • 12 oz Chili Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Corn Flake Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice
Instructions 
  • Preheat oven at 300 °F.
  • Grease a baking pan with butter.
  • Take a large mixing bowel and combine together beef, corn flake crumbs, eggs, parsley, salt, pepper, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder and onions.
  • Combine the ingredients well and form small, round balls.
  • Place the meatballs on the greased baking pan.
  • In a separate pan, pour cranberry sauce and chili sauce and out it on medium heat. Add lemon juice and brown sugar to it. Stir well until thick.
  • Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
  • Bake the preparation for about 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
