Country Music is a form of music that was first noticed in the Southern United States, along with the Appalachian Mountains. It basically comprises of a fusion of a number of popular musical forms and finds its roots in traditional folk music, Celtic music, blues, gospel music, hokum and old-time music. Though this music evolved in the 1920s, it was given the name of ‘country music’ only in the 1940s (earlier, it was known as hillbilly music). Though there are still many patrons of country music, its popularity seems to be on the decline now. In the following lines, we have provided a list of the best as well as the most popular country songs of all times.
