Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., one of the most favorite car makers of India brought a new entrant in the sedan category with the name Dzire in the year 2008. The car is available in both the diesel and petrol variants, letting the sedan-fans decide which fuel would suit their needs and choices the best.

 

The Maruti Dzire displays a Tilt Steering that lets you adjust it the way you feel most comfortable while driving. It really helps specially when you’re up on a long drive. The Maruti Dzire petrol variant features a MPI petrol/in-line/SOHC engine with multipoint injection technology. Equipped with 4 cylinders comprising of 16 valves, it offers a maximum power of 87 bhp @ 6000 rpm (rounds per minute), and a maximum torque of 113 Nm (Newton meter) @ 4500 rpm. The diesel variant of Maruti Dzire is equipped with a Multijet/DDis/DOHC engine based upon Common Rail fuel distribution model. The engine again features 4 cylinders comprising of 16 valves, and delivers a maximum power of 75 bhp @ 4000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 190 Nm @ 2000 rpm.

 

All the variants of Maruti Dzire display 3-point rear seat belt ELR adjustment-side and Child proof rear door locks, Side impact protection beam, Cap Tank internal opening and Door lock Canceller for enhanced security. Some of them, however, are equipped with advanced safety features such as Front Airbag for driver and front passenger, Seat belt pre-tensioners and Force limiter for front seats, and Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Booster Assist. Front and Rear fog lamps ensure you a safe and secure journey even in the densely foggy days of chlly winters.

 

The overall length, width and height of all the Maruti Dzire variants are 4160 mm, 1690 mm and 1530 mm respectively. The Rack and pinion Steering is assisted by Pinion type electronic power. Front and Rear brakes of all the variants are Ventilated Discs and Drum based respectively, and the Front suspension features MacPherson strut and coil spring. The steel and alloy wheels ensure durable and rust-free performance, while the tubeless tires offer a smooth and comfortable ride.
