  • 6 large Onions (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup dry White Wine/ Beef Stock
  • 8 cups Brown Beef Stock
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Baguette (sliced diagonally)
  • 8 ounces Gruyere Cheese (sliced into 1 ounce pieces)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
  • Melt butter in large saucepan.
  • Add onions and sauté for 5 minutes on medium-high flame.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and allow the onions to caramelize for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
