Irish whisky is one of the various types of whiskies produced in the world. Though almost all the whiskies are produced in a manner that is broadly similar, there are subtle differences in the final product, mainly in their taste and aroma. The reason why Irish whiskey is different from other types of whiskies is that it is produced with different proportions of raw and malted barley, which is dried in a distinct way. At the same time, it is distilled three times and makes use of large pot stills. Irish whisky is also used to make a number of cocktails, some of which have been listed in the lines below, along with their recipe.
