Till now, Yamaha only used to rule the road. With the launch of Bike Station, the two wheeler company is all set to make it’s entry into the lifestyle segment also. From the macho bikes, Yamaha has expanded to include lifestyle stores within its brand. The Japanese motorbike firm has launched a company-owned store ‘Bike Station’ in New Delhi, through which it plans to move into your everyday life. With this move, it aims at enhancing your biking experience.
Apart from selling bikes (the obvious!), the lifestyle store will also sell numerous apparels and accessories, right from stylish shirts, jackets and jeans to things like mugs and gloves. Bike Station offers much more than shopping. The lifestyle store also has a gaming zone, which promises to leave you fully thrilled and entertained. Want to hook on to the web, check out the internet area of the store. For those who love to have a snack, the coffee bar will be just perfect.
‘Bike Station’ also has a concert area, where live rock shows will be organized once or twice in a week. With the launch of the lifestyle store, Yamaha has tried to cope up with the ever-increasing demands of the consumer and in return, exploited the great potential lifestyle segment offers. The motorbike firm plans to open up 10 such stores in India by the end of 2008, one each in the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Lucknow.
