Talk about the past making an impact on the present! A film that was canned 37 years ago is all set to be released in 2008. Yaar Meri Zindagi is a film that was shot in 1971, but due to legal hassles, it couldn’t be released then. Now, after a gap of almost 37 years, the film starring two of the biggest stars of yesteryears, Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha, is going to hit a theater near you, soon! Let us hope a movie of yesteryears creates the same magic now as it used to back then!
Big B and Shatrughan have done quite some hit movies together like Shaan, Dostana, Naseeb, etc. This film brings them together after their last movie Dostana. When they signed for Yaar Meri Zindagi, both of them were not big superstars, though during the latter half of the 70’s, they both unleashed their stardom in a big way. The music has been composed by the legendary R.D Burman, which will definitely find a fan base in today’s audience. The film is set in a rural background and shows the friendship between two people, a doctor and a zamindar. When egos clash and misunderstandings arise, it puts their friendship to test and they turn into foes. The USP of the movie is that both Amitabh and Shatrughan will be seen in the prime years, which will exude a certain amount freshness as well as nostalgia. One can expect all Amitabh and Shatrughan fans to flock the theaters, along with those movie buffs, who never missed out any good film during the 70s.
