One of the largest as well as the most anticipated fashion events of India, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) is about to be held in the capital city of New Delhi. The dates for the fashion show, which will last for five days, are 12th to 16th March. This will be the 11th edition of the fashion fiesta, which is organized under the aegis of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and sponsored by Wills Lifestyle of the ITC Group.
Last edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw the participation of three foreign models and this year is no exception. A contest, known as 'New Faces Going Places' Model Hunt, was held on 18th January, to pick models for the coming show. In the Friday show, one could see the four global models, Corina Bolintiru of Romania, Araceli Marianela of Argentina & Yana Malovska and Naty Slyusaryeva of Ukraine, also making the cut.
In toto, ten models were selected, after strong competition, from amongst 55 aspirants, who were later narrowed down to 17. All of them could be seen swaying across the ramp in a variety of outfits, ranging from skirts to jeans. Judged by personalities like Noyonika Chatterji, Ranna Gill, Malini Ramani, Abhishek Gupta, Hemant Khandelwal, Anju Modi and choreographer Asha Kochhar, the contest aims to give aspiring models a platform, through which they can gain an entry into the dazzling field of modeling.
