Voltas New Range Air Conditioners

The Mumbai-based Voltas group, which is involved in engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration, has some surprises in store for you this year. The company has announced its plans of launching a whole new range of room air conditioners this year. Not only will the ACs have excellent technology, but will also come in sleek and suave designs. Voltas is launching this range keeping in mind the premium and luxury consumers. With the AC market growing at the rate of 30 per annum, the company is all set to cash in on the boom.

Elegant, yet efficient, has been the motto of Voltas while designing the new range. Amongst the new models to be launched by the company, one will be a Corner AC, a concept that will be introduced in India for the first time. To be known as Vertis 'Pristine', the air conditioner has a distinctive, triangular shape that will make it very easy to fit it on the wall, in any of the corners of a room, almost inconspicuously. Voltas aims to interest the astute consumers of the high-end homes with this new product.

The other new product ranges that will form a part of the upcoming range include Vertis 'Panache', with the innovative DC Inverter Technology and a flexible Heating-Cooling function; Vertis 'Elan'; Vertis 'Elite'; the new-look Vertis Gold and Vertis Plus. Since Voltas range includes 'Star Rated' ACs, going up to the most-efficient 5-star rated units, you can easily bet on their cost-effective performance too. In short, the new range of home air conditions to be offered by Voltas will be certainly ‘value for money’.

Voltas is estimated to have a market share of around 17% in AC market i.e. it sells around one out of every six ACs sold in India. The new range will see the market for Voltas growing further, especially with the Rs 30 crore advertising budget it’s being backed with. The company has also strengthened its distribution strategy and will be increasing the number of Channel Partners from the present 2000 to about 3000 next year. It has also made plans of investing around 2% of its turnover in bracing the service infrastructure.
