You can now look forward to enjoying the opulence of the prestigious Versace hotel without venturing outside India, for the group is soon planning to set up a mega resort at the popular tourist destination Goa. The ‘Palazzo Versace’ would be the third in its global chain of luxury hotels after the ones at Australia and Dubai. For this project, this Milan-based hotel group has entered into a tie with Australia’s property developer Sunland Group Limited. The entry of Versace hotel group into India is expected to prove beneficial as it will induce massive investment into the country.
It is learnt that the group is also planning to open mega-resorts at a number of capital cities across the globe. The existing luxury Versace hotels feature architectural designs inspired by the opulent Renaissance palaces in Europe. The eminent Versace group already owns a boutique at a well-known five-star hotel in Mumbai and is deliberating about opening another in New Delhi shortly. Versace’s decision to expand in India is motivated by the country’s fast growing economy and enhanced spending power of the citizens.
