TVS To Launch Flame By December End

Originally to be launched in November, the TVS Flame ran into trouble when Bajaj Auto claimed that TVS has copied their patented DTS-I technology in their bike. The TVS Flame, which is a 125cc bike, has used the twin spark plug technology in its bike, while it is actually a patented development of Bajaj Motors. TVS, in turn, claims that the technology they have used is an improved version of a Honda patent that had expired long back.

The latest on this is, that the bike is all set to be launched by December end and now TVS has filed a defamation suit in Mumbai and a patent action suit in Chennai as an answer to Bajaj Auto. The TVS Flame is a vital bike for the company since they are depending on this bike to enhance margins in the latter half of the fiscal year.

Apart from the Flame, TVS motors India is also planning to launch its electric scooter early next year. The TVS Flame has been promoted aggressively in urban India and even the public is looking forward to the bike. With stunning looks and contemporary design, this bike will definitely be lapped up by the mass. The Flame sports India’s first three-valve CC VTi (controlled combustion variable timing intelligent) engine. With good looks and great technology, this bike is sure to set the market aflame, once the legal controversy is solved.
