After the one lakh toy car by Tata, Japanese auto giant Toyota, is all set to take a leap by launching a ‘small car’ in the Indian market. The small car is expected to be launched within a span of two years and will be priced around 3 lakh. Toyota is launching the car with an aim to make its entry into the small car market, which is quite on a roll right now. With this, the company also hopes to grab 10 percent of the automobile market by 2010.
Without exaggeration, Tata Nano has certainly become a trendsetter, which can be attributed to the fact that more and more companies are now going in for small car manufacturing. The hot list includes big names like Honda, Skoda, Ford etc. As a result, the market is sure to see a surge of family cars with all the major companies vying to grab the top slot. To book its corner in the currently rolling small car market, Toyota has already started on its small car concept and hopes to hit big.
