How To Make Taco Salad
 
Messy Mexican Salad
 
Ingredients
  • 1 pound Lean Minced Beef
  • 1pound Cheddar Cheese
  • 15 oz Ranch Style Beans
  • Few leaves Lettuce (shredded)
  • 1½ oz Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 16 oz Dressing
  • 14½ oz Tortilla Chips
Method
  • Mix the cheese and lettuce together in large bowl and keep aside.
  • Take another bowl and mix the beans, dressing and taco seasoning. Keep aside.
  • Roast the beef brown and drain the water.
  • Add the beef to the dressing mixture, and then add this to the cheese and lettuce.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Before serving, crush the tortilla chips and add to the salad mixture.  
  • If you are making tacos only, then add the mixture to the taco shells.
Turkey Taco Salad
 
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups Cooked Turkey Meat (preferably left over, chopped)
  • 1 cup Celery (finely chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Sweet Pickle
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Cilantro (dried)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
Method
  • Mix all the above and stir slightly, without crumbling the ingredients.
  • Season with salt, pepper and cilantro.
  • Refrigerate before serving.
Vegetarian Taco Salad
 
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups Lettuce (Shredded)
  • 1 cup Vine Ripened Tomatoes
  • 1 Avocado (peeled and diced)
  • 2 Green Onions (chopped)
  • 2/3 cup Red Kidney Beans
  • 2/3 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Black Olives
  • 1/3 cup Salsa
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 oz. Tortilla Chips
Method
  • In a large bowl, toss the lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, onions, beans and olives.
  • In a separate cup, blend the salsa and sour cream together. Make sure that the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour over the vegetables and stir well.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the tortilla chips over this mixture.
Italian Taco Salad
 
Ingredients:
  • A few leaves Lettuce
  • 1 Tomato (diced)
  • ½ bottle Italian Dressing
  • 1 bag Shredded Cheese
  • 16 oz. Corn Chips/Tortilla Chips
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 2 cups Minced Beef Or Chicken
Method
  • Take a large salad bowl and combine the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and corn chips.
  • The meats must be cooked and drained of water. Now, add taco seasoning.
  • Spread the meat in a salad bowl and place all the combined ingredients in it.
  • Add the Italian seasoning and toss the salad.
  • Keep chilled and serve.
