Sony PS-2 Fourth Version

The popularity of videogames and playstations has grown to such an extent that new models and versions continued to be unveiled every other day. Now, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has come up with the fourth version of its playstation-2 (PS-2). The latest version is expected to be released in India, somewhere around Diwali. As per Atindriya Bose, Country Manager (playstation) - SCE, the new version will be launched in the European and Indian markets, simultaneously.

The fourth version of Sony PS2 will be a high-end one, much leaner, more lustrous and more chic than all the earlier ones. The best feature of the new version is that it will have no external AC adapters. In other words, the adapters will be in-built, thus reducing the bulk associated with the playstation. If that wasn’t enough, Sony isn’t charging anything extra for the same. The playstation2, version 4 will be launched at a price of Rs 6,990, the same price that was charged for the earlier version.

Sony launched PS2 as the entry level playstation in India, perfect for those who are entering the gaming zone for the first time. On top of that, it works for novices of all age groups and class. Sony is also planning to launch playstation network for their playstation-3 in India, by the end of this fiscal. The network for the country has already been developed, only the integration of the payment gateway needs to be done. The network, which is already available in the US and Europe, allows gamers to download free games and also buy them online.
